So, even geeks needed a good time, so, this is what brought Ari to Olive Garden, plus, it was her favorite restaurant. She parked the old, beat up Impala in the nearest parking spot she could find towards the front, got out, and walked inside. The best part about Olive Garden though, was the fact that you didn’t have to ‘dress up’ to eat there. It was just a casual dining place that anybody could go to. Well, as long as you had money to pay for your meal of course. Otherwise, why are you out eating at an expensive restaurants? She felt bad for thinking about that because she shouldn’t even really be here right now. But, her step-parents had given her money to spend on herself for whatever she wanted to. So, she decided to spend it on the chicken parmesan and enjoy a nice meal by herself.
So, apparently, she like, attracted the people in the same clique as her at the school. Every time she ended up going out, she always ran into someone who knew her, or she knew. Whether they be in band, orchestra, or choir. She didn’t know why, but she just hoped it wouldn’t happen again. She just wanted a nice meal to herself, without any interruptions. She walked up to the host stand and the guy took her to a table to the left. She saw lots of people drinking wine and having a good time. She followed the host up the stairs and around a corner where nobody else was sitting. She smiled at that fact though. She was seated at a two person table and the guy gave her a menu. She already knew what she was getting, but it never hurt to look what was new in the world of Olive Garden. Nothing too new. Only a few wines, but she couldn’t have that yet. When the waitress came to her table, she ordered a coke and what she wanted to eat. The waitress nodded, took the menu, and walked away.
Ari sat there and looked out the window then. It was a relaxing place with the nice instrumental music. She smiled at the sounds of the instruments and then realized she was being a band geek once again; oh well. She just guessed it was in her blood or something like that. Better to stand out then to try and fit in. That’s what Mrs. Stow said anyways. She didn’t feel right calling them mom and dad. It just, didn’t seem fair in anyway shape or form. She then pulled out her phone/iPod thing. She unlocked it and looked at the pictures in it. Most of which were of the family. After waiting a few more minutes, her drink arrived. She thanked the waitress and then went back to the old memories. She then locked her phone and looked at the main picture. It was a picture of everyone. Mom, dad, Hannah, Josh, and herself. They were in front of a pond that their mom always wanted in the backyard. She smiled then put it away before the tears started to come. Only two things could make Ari cry anymore: thinking of good times with her family and the date of when Josh was suppose to get married. June fifth. Originally a Saturday out of the month.
