So, Ari was just ready for some new books. She wasn't sure what type of book she wanted today, but she had forty dollars that said she was going to walk out of here with more than one book possibly. Unlike the other people in her category, she wasn't really into the sci-fy stuff. Star Wars was one thing, but that was all really. Well, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter were amazing also. Those three series were the only things though. She mostly read mystery novels and fiction categories. Horror was a good one too, even though she didn't like the movies. She got scared to easily. She was by no means a ‘scardy cat’ or anything, she just wasn’t a big one on surprises.
She walked into the Barnes & Noble’s and looked around. She knew the store like the back of her hand but she never knew where to start. Maybe there would be a Sherlock Holmes she never picked up. Maybe a new mystery out by one of her favorite authors. She wasn’t sure, but oh well. Anything was good as the next. Except for Twilight. The Twilight series just scoffed at every vampire book ever written. It was a mockery of the whole idea for vampires exploding in the sunlight. They are not supposed to sparkle in the stupid light like they have glitter on them. Not to mention that whole thing in the movie was done horribly. Just god awful; her Latin teacher said that it looked as if Robert Pattinson walked into Claire’s and they threw glitter on him.
She completely went off her track of getting a new book, and went over to the cds. Apparently there had been a Three Days Grace cd she had yet to buy. She went over to find the T’s and after a few minutes, she found it. There was one cd left. Sweet. As she reached over to grab it, but another hand got on it too.

One of the thinks Morgan hated most about this new town was that there was no music store. Back in New York every street had its own music store where you could just walk in and listen to music before you buy it. Not here. Here you had to buy the whole dang cd without even knowing how good the songs in it were. Morgan was picky about music. She only liked certain songs by certain people like One Republic, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and a little Brittney Spears never hurt anyone and sometimes even Three days grace. So since her Aunt was at work she took the spare car- even though she didn’t officially have her license yet but that never stopped her before- and drove over to barns & noble. It took her twenty more minutes extra time to get there because she got lost (again). She pulled into the parking lot and found a spot right in front of the store. There were very few cars in the lot so it must have been a pretty slow day. She got out of the car and made her way up the steps to the entrance to the book store.
As soon as she walked into the door she was overwhelmed by all the twilight poster and merchandise. Ok she had to admit she did like the books but she absolutely hated to movies. She read the books before all the movie stuff started but since then she hasn’t seen the twilight saga the same anymore. She rolled her eyes and made her way over to the music section. And skimmed down the aisles looking at the different tittles.
As she made her way down the one aisle she saw all Three Days Grace CD and remembered they had a new one come out. She went to go reach for it but pulled back when another person’s hand also went for it. There was only one copy left. “O, sorry,” Morgan said to the girl.

The other girl removed her hand and said sorry. She had on a black shirt with ripped up shorts and flip flops. She also had a purple purse. ”Oh, no, you can go ahead and have it. I’ll just go to like, Target or something.” She felt bad and excited at the same time. She didn’t know many girls that liked Three Days Grace. She looked at the girl again. She had brown eyes and brown hair. Ari was a little taller than her. She looked like a sophomore or junior though. She looked at her purse again, ”Cute purse. Purple is one of my favorite colors.” She wanted to break the awkward silence of this all.
Ari was not a big people’s person; at all. She was a geek, nerd, whatever you wanted to call it. The two girls just stood there. It was kind of awkward since Ari had never seen this girl before and didn’t even know her name. Maybe she was new. ”My name is Aristotle, or Ari for short. What about you?” Ari started to do that thing where she goes back on her heels and then on her toes. She always seemed to do that and it was a habit that she could not break. It got on some people’s nerves half the time and this is why she didn’t have a lot of friends half the time. Hell, even the geeks and nerds would tend to stay away from her. God. Rejected. She didn’t know why though. She didn’t seem to weird to herself. Maybe because she was only really into band a little too much is why she was named what she was. She was a pretty girl though. No big thick glasses like some of the people wore to fit their categories around school or out. She was just that one kid. You know, the kid that was too much of a geek too hang around, but still really pretty.
